Advertising always made me feel like if I just bought the certain product or outfit, I would be fixed for most of my life, it helped to form a very negative relationship with my body when I feel that I’m not attractive from others because they’ve internalized Eurocentric beauty standards , then I feel negatively towards myself I don't see myself represented in marketing and this sends the message that my body is not marketable or worthy As a trans person, advertising has often made me feel pressured to conform to cis standards of looking I wish ads about beauty didn't frame everything as my responsibility.
